So You Want To Reach Your Goals?

So you want to reach your goals? Who doesn’t! In fact, I would argue that everyone has goals they are striving for right now! It is the reason you wake up to an alarm clock rather than just sleeping till whenever you want. However, there are some who feel they have no goals and have no motivation. This is not only false, but really sad. To not be motivated means to not have anything that inspires passion in your life, the emotion that makes your skin tingle and fills your stomach with butterflies. It is time to get back that feeling and to start seeing yourself as the success that deep down, you know you can be!

The most common tip to achieving your goals is to write them down. This is practical and helpful advice, but not for the reason many people think. It’s not as if you don’t write your goals down, you are going to forget what you want to achieve! The reason you write your goals down is to activate the mental, physical and emotional energy to inspire change. Statements are important, but change is necessary. Those with goals not yet achieved requires one to make changes in their lives. But remember, writing down your goals is the first step, not the last!

No question a lot of hard work is required to achieve any goal that is worthwhile. Working your tail off means more than just putting in extra hours. Hard work is tackling problems that you have been disregarding, or more appropriate, avoiding. Your fears of failure and lack of confidence are not reasons to slack off or avoid your goals. In fact, it’s necessary that you overcome these obstacles to pursue your goal. Your success has the potential to be the story that helps another pursue their passion!

Finally, you must understand that you need more than what you currently possess. These needs can usually be broken down into three categories: assistance, training, and time. People want to help people who have passion. It’s up to you to ask for help. Perhaps you lack a specific skill required. Whether you use the internet, bookstore or set up meeting with experts, you can create your own personal education program. If you don’t have the time, you need to evaluate your life and find out what sacrifices you are willing to make. No one said these changes would be easy. But they are necessary!
